Warning, if you have a fear of teachers, you must stop reading this story right now. It can give you horrible nightmares, and make all the teachers seem scary to you. If you are one of those brave ones, then you just might want to hope that you are brave enough for this story.
As I twisted and turned in my big brown bed, my alarm eventually went off. Hi my name is Olivia, and it is my first day of school today. I'm going into grade four and that is where you get to make new friends and learn more things. I sprang out of bed and got ready for school. This is what I do every morning to get ready for school.
At 7:00 I wake up,
at 7:05 I stare out my window
at 7:10 I brush my teeth,
at 7:15 I take my dog outside
at 7:25 I make my bed
at 7:30 I take a shower,
at 8:00 I eat breakfast,
at 8:30 I brush my teeth,
then at 8:45 my mom drives me to school.
Although I was only in grade four, there were still many things to be afraid of. What if the school falls on me or what if my teacher tries to turn me into an apple? I slowly strolled into the school. There were so many new people to see. The school bell rang so I went into my class room. I had my first glimpse of my teacher, and she had short grey curly hair, which was in a bun. She had a great big wart, right at the bottom of her small, scrawny chin. She saw me and came strolling over to me. "Hello girl, what is your name?"
She looked like one of those evil witches that you see in a scary movie. I walked away hoping that she would just ignore me, but she didn't. "Where do you think you are going?" "Get back here this instant," yelled the teacher in a strict voice. She came running after me, which made me even more scared. She came up to me and exclaimed, "Why are you running away from me, I asked you a question!" By now I was as scared as a three year old when she gets into trouble from a teacher. I knew I should listen, so I told her my name. "My name is Olivia." After I told her, I walked to my desk quickly and quietly. All the people were staring at me because they heard my discussion with the teacher. Some of them looked confused, and some of them were laughing at me. One kid was not even interested; he was just picking his small scrawny little nose. I was furious. My first day in grade four and everyone already thinks that I am weird.
“Hello class, welcome to your first day of grade four. I will be your teacher and my name is Mrs. Belcomesmochi." I hid my head in my two small hands hoping that she would not notice me. "I do get mad easy, but if you cooperate and listen to me, I am sure that we will get along fine. Now, let’s start doing some work." She explained what we had to do and she told us that if we talk once we will be sent to detention. I grabbed my long, hard, yellow pencil and got to work. I felt the sweat rush down my small fragile face as I started to write. I thought over and over again about what the teacher has told or lectured us about. Mrs. Belcomesmochi got up from her desk and wandered around the class making sure that every single person was working like they were suppose to. She came to me and gave me a good long stare.
Two hours later I heard huge loud bangs, repeating over and over again. I looked around in a curious manner. Then I heard a big boom. I screamed as loud as I could, because I knew that the school was going to fall down. I screamed at the top of my lungs "THE SCHOOL IS FALLING DOWN!!!" All the girls and boys screamed for their lives, trying to find a way out of the building, like bees trying to find their way out of a net. "QUIET!!!" the teacher yelled in a high pitch voice. All the children stopped and sprinted around.
I glanced at the teacher who looked furious. Her eyes were squinted and her palms were in fists.
"That is enough, all of you!” Olivia, what in the world were you thinking child? It is just the movie playing in the other room!"
My face went as red as a tomato, that is ripe and ready to eat. "I didn't know, and I’m very sorry." I mumbled, ashamed of myself. After that incident, the teacher called my mom and told her everything that happened. My mom grounded me for two weeks, and said that I can’t play on the computer or play with any friends for a full two weeks.
Tonight was parent teacher interviews and I had to go with my mom. I was so excited because my mom would finally know how mean my teacher is. I came downstairs from my room, and of course my mom talked to me about what happened at school today. “Olivia what happened at school today?” “Mom, you don’t understand the teacher, she is horrible.” I told her about everything that she did today. “Teacher are not like that and you know it Olivia. No teacher would be that mean.” I was speechless and there was not a word in my little brain that I could say. I guess I would just have to wait for parent teacher interviews.
We headed out into our large garage and got into our black shiny Porsche and drove to our school. When we got there I told my mom where to find my teacher. “Is this the classroom right here?” My mom asked me. “Yes just go in,” I replied. We tiptoed into the classroom and out of the corner of my eye I saw my ugly mean old teacher. “Welcome, you must be Ms. Bordeaux, I am Mrs. Belcomesmochi.
I’m your daughters grade four teacher.” My mom talked for what seemed like forever. Except one thing was wrong, the teacher was really nice, I couldn’t believe it. I was pondering one question in my head. Was she doing this to bug me, or was she doing this just because my mom was around”? I knew one thing, if she was acting nice just because my mom was around, then I knew that my year in grade four will be a memorable one.
